EHCPs – who can help?
“Part of being successful is about asking questions and listening to the answers.” ~ Anne Burrell
Following last week’s blog about EHCPs it occurred to me about the myriad of organisations ready to help others. I remember thirty years ago when my son was diagnosed as hearing impaired not really knowing where to go to get support. It actually came in the form of a friend who heard what had happened on the grapevine and wrote to me to tell me about a charity that was fairly local that supported pre-school hearing impaired children and their parents. That letter opened a door to me being able to support my son and navigate the health care and education systems. I will be forever grateful for the work of The Elizabeth Foundation https://elizabeth-foundation.org/.
These days we have the internet to search and therefore it can be easier. However, I always prefer personal recommendations so will offer up the following links as I’ve heard good things about them.
